The station is located 78.9 rail kilometers from the southern terminus of the Minobu Line at Fuji Station. ==History== Jōei Station was opened on March 30, 1928 as a on the Fuji-Minobu Line. The station was renamed to its present name on October 1, 1938. The line came under control of the Japanese Government Railways on May 1, 1941. The JGR became the JNR (Japan National Railway) after World War II. Scheduled freight operations were discontinued from October 1960. The station has been unattended since June 1983.
